Lucomagno Pass

Here on the Lukmanier pass summit we cross a language but also cultural border. The Lukmanier becomes the Lucomagno. Downhill now into the Valle di Blenio, the Blenio valley. The local population also calls this valley Valle del Sole, the sunny valley. Three short partly steep descents, then again plains, which are busy in winter for cross-country skiing. Thus, we first reach Olivone.

!! Attention !! At the hamlet of Camperio, km 12.8, we reach the cantonal road. !! Attention !! Incorrect signage. Here we turn left. Please follow the route on the outdooractive app or your printed map. This path is much easier to walk.

Similarly in Olivone: those who do not want to take the climb to the small suspension bridge as the signage shows, stay on the historic, our path, as marked on the app.

Anmerkungen

The «Via Francisca» is also known as the «Road of the Emperors». It leads from Konstanz over the Lukmanier pass to Pavia, where it meets the Via Francigena.
