    To the next section Kaiserhof - Waldshut
    Below the Munot we cross the Rhine and follow the Via Renania along the Rhine to the former wine village of Fluringen. Afterwards, it goes along its vineyards to the delicate Rhine bridge from the year 1857 and on the Neuhausen shore to the Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Europe. We treat ourselves to a boat trip through the Rhine Falls basin and climb the famous rock amidst the roaring waters.

    Yesterday we reflected on the intertwined borders in this area. Today follows a comparable chapter west of Schaffhausen. The old customs houses still stand when we cross the borders between Switzerland and Germany on foot, but currently they are no longer in operation.

    Our stage ends in Germany at the farmstead «Kaiserhof».

    Anmerkungen

    The pilgrim route from Konstanz/Kreuzlingen along the Rhine to Basel is called here «High Rhine Trail». A whole series of pilgrim routes from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg converge on this path.
