Fraubrunnen - Bern

Today's daily section will take us over a distance of 24.5 km with a walking time of about 6.5 hours from Fraubrunnen to Bern. We can expect a medium daily stage. We start the hike at Fraubrunnen Castle and leave the town towards Grafenried. We follow the signposted paths and reach Jegenstorf after about 5.5 km. The path leads us further past Urtenen and Moosseedorf and shortly before Zollikofen we reach the highest point of the daily stage at 570 m altitude in the Wylewald. After about 13.5 km we arrive at Zollikofen train station. We cross this locality along the main road until just before Unterzollikofen station we turn right towards Reichenbach. Today the path leads us over asphalt and natural paths. We reach Reichenbach and the bank of the Aare after about 15.5 km. For the next approx. 8.0 km we follow the course of the Aare river until we turn onto Altenbergstrasse just before Bern. We climb up to Bärenpark and cross the Aare on the Nydegg Bridge. We arrive in the center of Bern.
