Route: Einsiedeln - Trachslau -– Alpthal –- Brunni - –Haggenegg -– Schwyz –- Ibach –- Ingenbohl – Brunnen
Einsiedeln –- Brunni (via Trachslau – Alpthal)
In the center of Einsiedeln, just before the train station, the country road branches off to the left towards Alpthal. We follow this road, which runs parallel to the Camino, up to Trachslau. We ride through the village, turn right and reach Ober-Trachslau, where we turn left into Eigenstrasse near the church. Here, we briefly meet the signposted Camino. We follow the paved alley until we reach the main road again. We then ride over Alpthal to the village entrance of Brunni.

Rest at Lümpenen during the ascent to Haggenegg
Brunni –- Schwyz (via Haggenegg)
At the Brunni inn, we turn right and follow the cycle path (TCS No.10) steeply uphill over Brüglen, Lümpenen, to Bogenfang. Here we meet the signposted Camino from Alpthal again. We follow it on the left toward Haggenegg up to the pass height (Berghaus Haggenegg). The steep descent from Haggenegg takes place on the paved mountain road towards Schwyz, quite parallel to the Camino. In Ried, near the Fridolins chapel, we come back to the signposted Camino (Camino signpost).

Schwyz: Town Hall
From Ried, we ride on Nietenbachstrasse, first turning left into Obermattstrasse and immediately after turning right into Riedstrasse, passing the Schwyz College.
We turn right into Martinstrasse and immediately left into Maria – Hilf –Strasse. Then we turn left into Herrengasse where we reach the historic old town. Here we take some time to admire the impressive and well-preserved center near the cathedral, with the old inns and the historic town hall.

Approach to Treib
Schwyz –-Brunnen (via Ibach – Ingenbohl)
We leave Schwyz on the signposted Camino and, at the roundabout, turn into Schmied-gasse towards Ibach. Shortly after the Mythen-Center, we turn left, cross the Tobelbach and pass the beautiful Five-Franc chapel. On the footpath, we ride to Ibach and cross the Muota river. Here we turn into the field path following the Camino (Camino signpost) over Unterschönbuch towards Ingenbohl.

View from Sunnebärg to Rütli and Lake Uri
After the motorway underpass, we turn left into Klosterstrasse. After riding through the forest, we leave the Camino and ride right (hiking trail signpost towards Kloster Ingenbohl) through the Krems monastery complex to the old cantonal road. Here we turn left and ride to Centralplatz. Turning right, we cross the railway overpass into Bahnhofstrasse of Brunnen and from there to the ship landing stage.

Stage 6
Route: Brunnen -– Treib -– Volligen -– Seelisberg –- Emmetten –- Beckenried - Ridli - Buochs -Stans
Brunnen-Beckenried
From Brunnen, we cross Lake Lucerne by boat and land at Treib. From Treib, we follow the Camino along Seelisbergstrasse to Volligen. Here the paths split. We keep left on Seelisbergstrasse as the Camino for pilgrims on foot is not passable by bicycle towards Emmetten. We reach Seelisberg and ride on the main street to Emmetten, where we meet the foot-pilgrim Camino again. We stay on the main road until Beckenried, where we again meet the Camino near St. Heinrich Church.

Beckenried and paddle steamer «Uri»
Beckenried - Buochs
After St. Heinrich Church, we turn left and reach the valley station of the Klewenalp cable car. Just before, we turn right into Schulweg. There, we follow the Camino signs and go straight over Allmend- and Ridlistrasse to Hotel Postillon. At the hotel, we turn left into the main road and stay on it to Buochs.
This tour is a bike variant for one of the Camino routes in Switzerland. It largely follows the marked pilgrimage path but also includes rideable alternative routes when the original path is not very "bike-friendly" and alternatives are available. Thus, the route is not suitable for racing bikes.
