Heavenly Paths

From the pilgrimage site Heiligkreuz, the path leads through the Balmoos nature reserve down to Hasle. From there, you hike along the Kleine Emme to Wolhusen and onward to the Werthenstein monastery. This route can be comfortably covered in one day. Be inspired by many sights, such as the Wurzilla fairy tale trail in Heiligkreuz, the four wooden bridges in Hasle, or the tropical house in Wolhusen.

Pilgrimage site Werthenstein

The first section of the Heavenly Paths connects the monastery village of St. Urban in the Central Plateau via Luthern Bad near the Napf, Heiligkreuz in Entlebuch, Werthenstein, with the pilgrimage site in Hergiswald near Lucerne. Alternatively, hikers can also travel from Luthern Bad via Willisau to Werthenstein and from there further to Hergiswald.
