Bernrain Holy Cross Chapel

Today's stage will lead us over a distance of 11.8 km with a walking time of about 3.0 hours from Märstetten to Tobel. We can expect an easy day stage. We start the hike from the Märstetten, Muggenwinggel bus stop and follow the signposted paths. After about 2.0 km we cross the Thur and arrive in Amlikon. Today's route takes us over asphalt and natural paths. After about 7.5 km we reach Kaltenbrunnen at 544 m altitude, the highest point of the day's stage. The path continues around Affeltrangen and we arrive in Tobel.

Today we pass the following sights: St. James Chapel in Kaltenbrunnen, Knights Hospitaller Commandry in Tobel.

There is the possibility to take a variant of the route via Lommis.

Anmerkungen

The section Märstetten - Tobel is part of the Schwabenweg, which will lead us from Konstanz to Einsiedeln. We are on the Swiss Way of St. James.
