Proseken Village Church

An old tribe and yet so much green
This is not entirely safe, as a citizen of Wismar named Ludeke Marzellenbruch had to learn in 1391. He was killed between Jamel and Bamberge, as evidenced today by an approximately 2-meter-high, heavily weathered "atonement stone" by the path. Let us hope that the descendants of the perpetrator from that time have learned a friendlier way of dealing with travelers over the centuries.

In Grevesmühlen, there is a small pilgrim accommodation operated by the Evangelical Lutheran parish in the community room near the churchyard of Saint Nicholas Church.
Note(s)
The pilgrimage route along the southern shore of the Baltic Sea has various names; in Germany, for example, it is also called the "Baltic-Westphalian Way of St. James." Eastward from Poland, the designation "Pomeranian Way of St. James" is common. In this documentation, we stick to the cross-border name "Via Baltica," partly because of the shortness of the name, and also because pilgrims to Rome or even Jerusalem can also use it.
