Aepfingen - Steinhausen

After the pilgrim blessing in Aepfingen's Church of St. Blasius, we cross the museum narrow-gauge railway of the steam train "Öchsle" with its historic station. Through fields and forest with Witzlishütte to Laupertshausen with the Church of St. Jakobus and Pelagius. Continuing past the hamlet Königshofen, following the Biber circular hiking trail through woods and thickets. After underpassing the B 30, forest path to Mettenberg with the Church of St. Alban and pilgrim station at the town hall. Onwards to Biberach an der Riß, through the Ulmer Gate to the parish church of St. Martinus and Maria, a simultaneous Catholic and Protestant church since 1548! Boomtown Biberach hosts several world market leader companies. Over the picturesque market square and through the natural Wolf valley to Reute with St. Nikolaus Church, over meadow and forest paths to the viewpoint before Grodt with the old and new Bartholomäus chapels. Down to Muttensweiler with St. Jakobus Church. On field paths, we reach Steinhausen with the most beautiful village church in the world, St. Peter and Paul, also a pilgrimage church “Our Lady on the Saul”.
