Today's stage on the west side of the Peenestrom mainly takes us through forest areas along the shore and, like the previous stage, also offers some bathing opportunities in small lakes. We will encounter only smaller settlements, and the stage destination Hohendorf is actually already a suburb of Wolgast, just 3 kilometers from its center. However, Wolgast is not on our route, which will continue westward.

The Peenestrom will flow into the Baltic Sea about 15 kilometers further north at Peenemünde. The small community of Peenemünde became known because of the army testing facility there, which developed medium-range missiles to operational readiness toward the end of World War II.
