
Markdorf
Between Jakob Church and Humpis Castle northeastwards über the district of Langenreute out of Brochenzell through the forest to Furatweiler. Through the beginning cultivation areas and plantations of Lake Constance fruit with the hamlets of Zillisbach, Krehenberg, Blankenried, Rammetshofen and Unterteuringen past the Hepbacher Ried. Along the way, we encounter the impressive pilgrimage stations Marschall with yew cross, pilgrim bench Kreidler with a lying cross as a handrail and the „iron pilgrim“, in Leimbach on the Brunnisaach the European station of the Strauß family with a large, sawn Jacob statue. From Leimbach towards Möggenweiler the pilgrimage station with pilgrim stone, on which the old European network of the Way of St. James with Via Imperii and Via Regia from Trondheim, Helsinki, Moscow, Kyiv, Odessa and Istanbul to Santiago is depicted. Further over Möggenweiler with chapel St. Wolfgang to Markdorf with Mauritius chapel in the park, which contains old pilgrimage traces, to the prince-bishop's castle and the church of St. Nikolaus.
