Continue through the monastery courtyard to Waldsee Water Castle with a view of the castle lake. Passing the Frauenberg Chapel, head out of the town over the Frauenberg. Through Arisheim with views of the pilgrimage church Volkertshaus and Waldburg Castle to Dinnenried with chapel, through Gwigg with the Baroque St. George's Chapel, which houses beautiful holy figures, to Gambach with the Sebastian Chapel, over Engenreute to the Spoon Mill with its mill shop. Along forest paths crossing the country road and Gambach to the Hammer Smithy. After crossing the Wolfegger Ach, follow the forest along the canal for the Baienfurt paper factory, through Köpfingen to Weingarten. There, visit the Basilica minor St. Martin and Oswald with the Gabler organ, the largest Baroque church north of the Alps, and the former Benedictine Imperial Abbey, now a Pedagogical University. The Holy Blood relic kept in the basilica is the subject of religious veneration throughout Upper Swabia, especially during the annual Blood Ride on the Friday after Ascension Day with about 2,000 riders, one of the largest equestrian processions in Europe.
