Anmerkungen
This variant is not signposted with the pilgrim symbol. However, it essentially follows the historical course of the Frankfurter Weg via the Steppel. It is about 2.1 km shorter than the route signposted with the pilgrim symbol through the Priesterberg. The last section to the Donnersfelder Warte (Mäuseturm) follows the path signposted with the pilgrim way symbol.

At the beginning of the tour, you will find the Schwedenstein at the edge of the hiking car park. It serves as a reminder that here in the Thirty Years' War in 1645 Reinhard Kloke was shot by the Swedes.
