Look back at Tribsees

Rough moor or also border valley moor
We enter the old town of Tribsees through the Stone Gate, then pass by St. Thomas Church, and soon leave the small old town again, this time through the Mill Gate. If we encounter Swedish-speaking pilgrims here, it is no surprise - they probably took the ferry from southern Swedish Trelleborg to Sassnitz and then hiked via Stralsund here, where their path merges into the main axis of the Via Baltica.

Stone with motifs in Bad Sülze
The next place on this stage is the salt town of Bad Sülze on the Reckwitz, which itself flows northward. For the rest of the stage to Kölzow, we once again hike along a disused railway line.
Note(s)
The pilgrim route along the southern shore of the Baltic Sea has various names, for example in Germany also "Baltic-Westphalian Way of St. James." From Poland eastward, the term "Pomeranian Way of St. James" is common. In this documentation, we stick to the cross-border name "Via Baltica," partly because of the shortness of the name and because pilgrims to Rome or even Jerusalem can also use it.
