“Baslerdybli” near Dreirosen Bridge

This stage runs only a short time through rural areas, then we enter the agglomeration of the so-called "Regio Basiliensis" at the Three-Country Corner of Germany-Switzerland-France, which does not only extend into Switzerland but also into the two neighboring countries. It is characterized by intense cultural, economic, and political exchange across national borders. The trinational airport or cross-border tram and bus connections are examples of this. The region is a very cosmopolitan area.

We cross the border at the Rhine port and shortly afterwards switch to the left bank of the Rhine. When we see the Basel Minster, it is not far to the end of the stage, the "Schifflände" on the Greater Basel side of the "Middle Bridge".

When you are in Basel, you will surely know how your route should continue. If you want to pilgrimage to Rome, we will gladly guide you seamlessly via Lausanne all the way there, even from Lausanne in English, French, or Italian if you wish. If you want to pilgrimage to Santiago, you have the choice between Switzerland and the French Burgundy. The route through Switzerland is identical to the route to Rome up to Lausanne, and from there we can also lead you continuously to Santiago. If you want to hike through Burgundy, we can also guide you continuously to Santiago.
