Doberan Minster
Once you have left the Rostock agglomeration, you are once again greeted by endless agricultural cultivation areas, interrupted by forests such as the "Hütter Wohld" with its monastery ponds. The highlight of this stage, however, is Bad Doberan with the Doberan Minster, a Europe-wide known example of Brick Gothic. This building was once the church of the Cistercian monastery Doberan.

Which direction do I want to go in?
Note(s)
The pilgrim route along the southern coast of the Baltic Sea has various names, in Germany for example also "Baltic-Westphalian Way of St. James." From Poland eastwards, the term "Pomeranian Way of St. James" is common. In this documentation, we stick to the cross-border name "Via Baltica," partly because of the brevity of the name, and also because pilgrims to Rome or even Jerusalem can also use it.
