Stone Gate of Tribsees

Gate to the city
We enter the old town of Tribsees through the Steintor, then pass the St. Thomas Church, and shortly after leave the small old town again through the Mühlentor. If we encounter Polish-speaking pilgrims here, it is no surprise, as here in Tribsees we meet the main route of the Via Baltica.
The next place on this stage is the salt town Bad Sülze on the Reckwitz, which in turn flows north. For the rest of the stage to Kölzow, we hike once again on a disused railway track.

Note(s)
The pilgrimage route along the southern shore of the Baltic Sea has various names, in Germany for example also "Baltic-Westphalian Way of St. James." From Poland eastwards, the term "Pomeranian Way of St. James" is common. In this documentation, we remain with the cross-border name "Via Baltica", partly because of the shortness of the name, and also because pilgrims to Rome or even to Jerusalem can also use it.
