
Aepfingen Bahnhof
From the House of St. Jakobus, we walk through Oberdischingen and experience its impressive town center with a domed church, chancery building, Malefiz Museum, Herrengasse and chestnut avenue, planted in 1770 for the bridal procession of Marie Antoinette. We cross the Danube Valley to Ersingen with the Franciscan Church, then on to Rißtissen with the world's only Rizzi Fountain (Pop Art) and James Rizzi exhibition in the adjacent building with bakery and toilet. Via the Church of St. Pankratius and Dorothea and the Chapel of Mary on the southern outskirts, further on to Untersulmetingen. At the town entrance, the Church of St. George and St. Sebastian, then along the Riß and through the town center to Obersulmetingen with the castle church of St. Ulrich. Through fields to Schemmerberg, climb the St. Martinus church hill with a magnificent view over the Riß valley and with toilet. Through the village to the gravel forest road crossing the Riß valley past the Peasants' War monument with a historically significant human rights declaration to Äpfingen.
