Village church Börzow on the way to Schönberg
Today we have a stage ahead of us to Schönberg through very sparsely populated areas, mainly farmland, a few small forests and towards the end of the stage once again an old railway embankment.

St. Laurentius and St. Katharina
When we leave Grevesmühlen and have passed through Börzow, we meet our first companion, namely the Stepenitz stream flowing westward. We also walk westward and thus stay more or less together. Via Roxin, Hof Mummendorf and then on the heights Kirch Mummendorf, we finally arrive at Rodenberg, where the Stepenitz stream gradually leaves us to the north and shortly after is additionally fed by the Maurine stream coming from Carlow. Under the common name Stepenitz, they later reach the Dassower Lake at Dassow, which flows together with the Trave and the two feed the Pötenitzer Wiek, which finally flows into the Lübeck Bay of the Baltic Sea at Travemünde.

the 4 Lübeck martyrs
On our way, we do not quite reach the Maurine but soon turn south, where an old railway embankment leads us parallel to the Maurine via Gross Bünsdorf to the stage destination Schönberg, where the stage ends past the market square at the St. Laurentius and St. Katharina city church.
Note(s)
The pilgrimage route along the southern shore of the Baltic Sea has different names, in Germany for example also "Baltic-Westphalian Way of St. James." From Poland eastward, the designation "Pomeranian Way of St. James" is common. In this documentation, we stick to the cross-border name "Via Baltica," partly because of the brevity of the name, and also because it can be used by pilgrims going to Rome or even Jerusalem.
