To the next section La Régnie - Saint-Julien
on the way towards the Rhone Valley
After Revel-Tourdan, a longer, pleasant ascent takes us to a TGV track, where, with some luck, we can see one of the French high-speed trains pass by, a masterpiece of French engineering achievements. Why not take a moment to reflect on the speed difference between such a train and a simple pilgrim!?
In the second part of the stage, we pass the Carmel Notre-Dame de Surieu monastery, one of the highlights of this section.
Anmerkungen
The Via Gebennensis connects the Swiss pilgrims' routes from Geneva with the Via Podiensis, which begins in Le Puy-en-Velay and leads westwards to the Pyrenees.
