Scuol, Clemgiaschlucht
Due to falling rocks and landslides, the Clemgia Gorge is closed until further notice. The Plan da Funtanas to Avrona connection remains open!
Reason: Stone chipping
Info

S-charl: chapel
It becomes really entertaining in the last section, where the Clemgia, which we have been following since the Pass da Costainas, has deeply carved into the rock. Before the start of the gorge at the Plan da Funtaunas post bus stop, we leave the road and descend down to the stream, which we then follow through the narrow gorge, a lasting experience for ears and eyes.
At the exit of the gorge, we are practically at the Inn, which we cross on a footbridge, arriving at the stage location Scuol. The track leads to the bus stop Scuol-Bogn in the centre of the village. In the evening, it is worthwhile to visit the lower part of the village with its well-kept old houses.
The pilgrimage route Via Son Giachen leads from South Tyrol through the Val Müstair in the canton of Graubünden towards Central Switzerland or Valais. The partly alpine pilgrimage route is only continuously passable in the warm seasons.
Attention: please note the 2017 closure of the Clemgia Gorge, a detour is signposted
