The stage leads through the flat agricultural areas of Greater Poland and vast forests. From Trzemeszno to Witków we are accompanied by a red walking trail. We continue to use local roads with low car traffic. We enter the first capital of Poland at Witkowska street, going all the time straight to the railway viaduct, behind which we continue straight ahead by walking the Warszawska street to the market. From there, the Gniezno promenade leads to the cathedral and primate's basilica. Without visiting the confession of St. Wojciech and admiring the cathedral cathedral of Gniezno from the 12th century, we cannot go further.

The Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in Gniezno holds a pilgrimage shell probably from the 12th century, found in 1935 in Ostrów Lednicki. It can be considered as an evidence of a pilgrims activity from Greater Poland to Santiago de Compostela from 800 years ago.
