Sławno - Polanów (Wariant 1a)

    Pomeranian section of the Way of St. James runs between Sławno and Polanów almost all the time through the forest, passing on the way valuable monuments of Pomeranian history. In the village of Krąg, we will see a Renaissance palace that once belonged to the famous Pomeranian family, von Podewils. Next to the palace there is a chapel with an ancestral crypt full of seventeenth and eighteenth-century sarcophagi. Polanów has been famous for centuries for Święta Góra Polanowska - one of the so-called sacred mountains of Pomerania. Initially as a place of pagan worship, it became a pilgrimage center known in the region. The Holy Hill of Polanowska currently belongs to the Franciscan Order, who built a hermitage on its top.

Tipps:

The route is one of the longest sections of the Pomeranian Road in Western Pomerania. If it is not possible to complete the entire section, you can stop in Krąg, where the hotel is located in the castle interiors.
