The alternative route of the Pomeranian Way of St. James between Koszalin and Białogard follows the footsteps of the Pomeranian Christianization mission of St. Otto of Bamberg. The trail crosses the picturesque valley of the Radew River, which, due to its natural values, is partially legally protected. In Białogórzyn, there is a 19th-century half-timbered church Of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Białogard is a large town with medieval origins. It is dominated by the Gothic parish church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with richly decorated interior fittings. The former president of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, was born in Białogard.
Tipps:
The trail runs through partly unpaved forest roads, which (especially in the Radwia valley) may become muddy and impassable for bicycles after rainfall.
