Piwniczna-Zdrój is a well-known health resort on the Poprad River - especially the old spa houses are worth of your attention. Not far from the market square the parish church of Our Lady is located. We leave the church and go past the railway station over the bridge on Poprad river. We are in the spa part of the town, where we pass by a mineral water pump room. Further route leads along the Poprad river. Through the town of Głębokie we come to Rytro, where the trail leads at the foot of the castle ruins. Before Barcice, we cross the bridge to the other side of Poprad river. Before Stary Sącz, we pass the altar at which Pope John Paul II celebrated the canonization mass of St. Kinga in 1999, buried in this city. Stary Sącz itself - especially the market square and nearby monastery founded by the Saint, is worth a longer visit.
