The starting point of the Beskid Way of St. James is located in the Slovak town of Litmanová on the Zvir glade. During the years 1990-95, the Mother of God apparitions took place here; confirmation is ongoing. In the Zvir clearing there is a Greek Catholic chapel and sanctuary buildings. You can get there from Poland, f.e. by following the arrows and signposts from the Obidza pass or the Spisska Way of St. James from the Slovak side. From the Zvir clearing following the signs of the Beskid Road we head towards Eliaszówka (1023 m a.s.l.), where there is a lookout tower. We descend from the summit following the signs of the Beskid Road and the green walking trail. On the scenic ridge over Piwniczna, we pass by the chapel in Piwowarówka and go down to Piwniczna.
Note:
The trail leads through a border area and the are of Slovakia. You must have an ID card and you must not travel after dark.
