Waidring–St. Johann via Pillersee

At the Waidringer Schnapsbrennerei Seibl keep left and follow the gravel path - the bike and hiking path leads idyllically along the stream and mostly in the forest to Erpfendorf - in Erpfendorf at the church straight ahead following the B 312 to the underpass on the other side of the street When you reach the path, follow it on the left side along the Grossache to Kirchdorf. After St. Johann in Tirol, continue along the Grossache for approx. 1 hour. In the center of St. Johann in Tirol change to the right side of the river - after the center it goes along the Reither Ache to the Römerweg. The little-traveled neighboring road leads partially shaded along the Rettenbach to the Römerhof inn. From there, follow the Röhrermoos (Moor and more Weg) to Going.

The «Jakobsweg Tirol» consists of two main routes leading westwards, namely a northern one that leads westwards from Kufstein along the Inn valley to the Arlberg, and a more southerly feeder from Lofer (Salzburg) on the same route. The southern main route leads from Nikolsdorf near the border with Carinthia along the Drau to the South Tyrolean Way of St. James in Italy, on which you can then decide to return via the Brenner to Innsbruck in Tyrol. or to continue on a pilgrimage to Müstair at the beginning of the alpine Graubündner Jakobsweg in Switzerland.
