After the young Drau was still a decent stream on the previous stage, it will look poorer on this stage, because in Lienz the Isel still flows into the Drau, and on today's stage we see a Drau without the Isel water. Today we are hiking on the north side of the Drau and so on the south-facing side of the valley not only have a beautiful view over the idyllic valley and the flanking mountains, but also a good chance to enjoy the sun. Up to the stage location Assling we are then challenged with a final ascent, but there we will all the more desire to quench our thirst with a cool drink.
