Our destination Sutri is in an area, which was inhabited by Etruscans during pre-roman times. This ethnic group had its cultural culmination from the 7th till the 4th century b.Chr. The upcoming roman population however conquered these areas and the etruscan culture got substituted by the roman one. In Sutri, an amphitheatre sculptured out of the tuff rocks and etruscan graveyards are witnesses of those times.
