San Lorenzo Nuovo is the only major village we encounter on our way today. Its name reflects that during the 18th century, inhabitants of the former San Lorenzo Vecchio had been resettled here. Probably, the great view we have from this new place on the lake had not been the key reason for this transfer.

Our destination Bolsena is located on the north-eastern beach of the lake. This place has a rich history including resettlements at roman times. Wonders, catacombs and the roman cathedral Santa Christina in which one of these wonders had happened resulting later on in the introduction of the holiday «Corpus Christi» by the Pope Urban IV.
